Where We Began

Kitchens First, Since 2016

The truth is, we have probably met. Perhaps at dinner in the highest restaurant on earth, or over a slow coffee in the café you think of as yours – our work was already in the room, and we never said a word. The Toolkit began in 2016 building and keeping the kitchens behind rooms this city knows, and grew outward into the dining rooms themselves. We build F&B the way operators need it built: to food-code, to the licence dates, to the night the doors open.

The Work

Proof, Not Promises

A restaurant built from the ground up, a café whose kitchen works in full view of its room, and an essay on what it actually takes to open in this city – approvals, authorities and all.

A restaurant is judged at eight on a Thursday; it is won at first fix.

The Programme

How It Runs

F&B runs backwards from a date – the licence, the landlord, the opening night. We plan from that date to today, and the kitchen leads: if the line commissions on time, the room follows.

Frames marked “· study” are visual studies, shown while the projects' photography is prepared. The rooms they stand for are real – each opens the project it belongs to.

Questions

Answered Plainly

How long does a restaurant fit out take in Dubai?

The honest answer is: your licence dates decide, and the programme is built backwards from them. A café is quicker than a full kitchen build; approvals move at the authorities' pace, which is exactly why we run them in-house.

Do you handle food control and DM approvals?

Yes – in-house, since 2016. Layouts drawn to food-code from day one, submissions filed and chased by us, inspections attended by the people who built what is being inspected.

Can you build just the kitchen?

Yes – happily. Kitchens are where this company started, and a kitchen-only scope behind another contractor's front of house does not offend us in the least.

Do you work with kitchen consultants and equipment suppliers?

Yes – we coordinate the kitchen consultant, the stainless fabricator and the equipment schedule inside one programme, so the line arrives, connects and commissions in the right order.
